Innings: 6 (or time-limited, e.g., 1 hour 45 minutes)
Pitching:
Only players pitch β no coach/machine assistance
Pitchers must follow Little League pitch count rules based on age

Per Little League International guidelines:

7-8 = 50 pitches
9β10 = 75 pitches
1β20 pitches = 0 days rest
21β35 = 1 day rest
36β50 = 2 days rest
51β65 = 3 days rest
66+ = 4 days rest

Base paths: 60 feet
Pitching rubber to plate: 46 feet
Fence distance: Optional, ~200 feet if available

Stealing: Allowed after the pitch crosses the plate
Dropped third strike: May or may not be in play depending on coach agreement
Balks: Not enforced (but illegal pitches may be addressed)
Infield fly rule: Optional at this levelβdepends on league
Run limit per inning: Often 5 runs max per inning to keep the pace
Mercy rule: Usually 10-run lead after 4 innings

Continuous batting order: All players bat every game
Fielding: Typically, 9 defensive players
Mandatory play: All players must play a minimum number of innings in the field (usually 6 defensive outs and 1 at-bat)

Build pitching confidence and stamina
Teach pitch counts and safe throwing habits
Develop catcher-pitcher communication
Improve defensive reactions (due to live ball play)

Coaches are often volunteers (usually parents).
Parents are encouraged to help with practices, games, and team snacks.
It's a great introduction for families to the Little League community.
